What are positive affirmations?
Positive affirmations are used throughout the practice of the law of attraction⎯the idea that the world and universe are made up of energy and vibrations that we can manipulate and mold to our benefit. The idea of this is that positive and negative thoughts bring positive and negative experiences into one’s life. Your brain hears everything you say out loud 1000 times over, therefore, if you speak negatively about yourself or a situation, your brain will repeat it 1000 times and reiterate the negativity out into the universe. Positive affirmations were created to help boost the positive thoughts and vibrations around you, you say them to yourself out loud for the universe and your mind to hear. The use of positive affirmations can influence the path you are on and the outcome of situations you may find yourself in. If you can look on the positive side of every situation given, the universe will reward you with positive outcomes and lessons.
What is an NFT?
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a virtual token compacted with digital data that is stored in a blockchain. In simple terms, non-fungible means that it cannot be replaced and is unique⎯the work of art that is produced is an NFT and cannot be reproduced or duplicated. Just like cryptocurrency, NFTs are a form of virtual currency that can be traded for a different NFT or sold for a large amount of money. If you purchase an NFT, the ownership of this is recorded on Blockchain; A digital ledger of transactions created by a network of computers and used to record information in a way that is very difficult or impossible to cheat, hack, or change. Only once an NFT has been transferred by the owner, can that artwork be sold or traded.
How do the two correlate?
With the popularity of NFT and the law of attraction, it is no surprise that they have now combined to create NFT pieces of art with positive affirmations inside. NFT affirmations was a project founded in October 2021 and has been available on Blockchain ever since. There are several artists out there that create NFT affirmations for both the NFT community and the law of attraction community. Whilst the powerful positive affirmations have proven to be true over the years, the idea that NFT versions are now available also means that their sales have skyrocketed.
Karson Daily; A group formed by Chad Knight, Samantha James, Karson Woods, and Nathaniel Parrott, introduced NFT Affirmations and have sold a collectible series of 10,000 NFTs across the board. Inspired by the popularity of crypto culture, NFT Affirmations were created to capture the inspiration of positive affirmations and combine them with meme-worthy pieces of art. The dynamic quartet have taken the virtual world by storm with these creations and inspired other artists to up their game and create their own positive affirmation artwork. Interviewed by NTFnow⎯an online blog created to keep the NFT community updated with the latest and greatest of the NFT world⎯it was said that the idea behind NFT Affirmations was to step away from the traditional avatar-like artwork that was being produced at the time and create a new avenue for the quartet to go down and show their unique talents. “It’s a chance for those who haven’t yet found their way in the NFT world to join this inclusive community and explore their talents without worrying about stepping out of the mainstream line.” NFT Affirmations holds no boundaries or regulations to follow, just pure creative expression
