During my career as a dream interpreter, I have come across a number of interesting, unusual, strange, and even eerie dreams. People are naturally curious about what this could mean, so they contact me (sometimes under a fake name because they’re embarrassed) to find out why their mind has spawned such a strange dream.
Three years ago, I was contacted by a relatively young girl who kept having dreams about a house with many rooms. Sometimes she just saw them; in other dreams, she walked through them or couldn’t open the door. I asked her for a few days so I could start searching the ancient dream dictionaries to interpret her dream as accurately as possible, and here is what I found.
Dream About A Big House With Many Rooms
A dream about house with many rooms means abundant resources, opportunities, and choices you have in life. It’s a positive dream symbol. You may have nothing at one point, and now you have too much. Or you’ve been unemployed for a long time, and now you’re getting so many jobs offers that you don’t know which to accept or reject.
Generally, this type of dream is a positive sign and means excess (in a good way) or plenty of opportunity. However, additional details will help decipher what the dream tells you.
If you remember what condition the house was in, what type of house it was, where it was located, whether it was clean or dirty, or whether you were there alone or with someone, keep reading.
Dirty House With Many Rooms
A dirty house with many rooms indicates either false hopes or opportunities that seem good only on the surface.
You know the saying, “all that glitters is not gold,” and this is how I would interpret this dream. You can be hopeful while ignoring all the warning signs (or even spiritual signs from your guides) around you. House dreams are generally a good omen, but a dirty house is rather the opposite.
According to old dream books, dreaming of a dirty house with lots of rooms reflects your current attitude towards life or being “blind” and falling for everything that glitters.
Old House With Many Rooms
An old house or any old building in dreams symbolizes nostalgia, the “good old days,” and safety. When you see a lot of rooms there, it indicates the depth of those memories or nostalgia.
Maybe you regret things you didn’t do in your youth or in the past, or you often go back in time and dream of the times when you had no responsibilities and had the freedom to do whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted.
Dreaming about an old house with many rooms is also common in people who have met a partner with whom they feel safe. This dream symbol can therefore be translated as a feeling of protection and safety.
If it was an old childhood house, you often reminisce about your childhood or would like to correct something you did in your youth.
House With Many Closed Rooms
Closed rooms indicate opportunities that await you around the corner or that you do not know about yet. You have to either acquire something, learn something, or realize something so that those opportunities will show up in your real life.
Being Lost In A House With Many Rooms
You are likely feeling lost in your life or don’t know which life path to follow. Your subconscious mind is trying to deal with this feeling you have in real life through this dream symbol.
It’s not necessarily a bad sign, just a wake-up call to stop focusing on unimportant things and really decide to do something that gives you meaning in life.
Pink House With Many Rooms
When I searched for the dream interpretation of a house with many rooms, there was no mention of a house of any color other than pink. How interesting!
A pink house with many rooms signifies a superficial life and the need to surround yourself with everything that shines or many people. While it may give you a temporary sense of success or fame, at the end of the day, it’s only those closest to you who are thinking of you and who genuinely love you.
This type of dream also suggests a childish behavior or approach to life. For example, maybe you want many things but are unwilling to give or help in return.
My Final Thoughts
In a positive sense, dreams of a house with many rooms mean new opportunities, a sense of security, or a very successful period. In a negative sense, old dream books often mention being blinded by beauty, superficiality, and naivety. Dream dictionaries, whether old or modern, are one thing. But what you should pay the most attention to are your feelings and your intuition.
