Mental illness is widespread. More people than ever before are suffering from problems like anxiety, depression, and neurosis. This has a lot to do with the nature of modern life. Although we are connected, we are at the same time alienated. Community is no longer a fixture in the average American’s life. Instead, time is spent alone or browsing social media.
