If you’re flying from Kutaisi International Airport with Wizz Air, you may notice a warning in the app saying your boarding pass needs to be printed. I saw the exact same message before my flight from Kutaisi back to Prague, and honestly, it stressed me out at first too.
The problem was that I stayed in an apartment in Tbilisi without a reception desk or printer nearby. I spent part of the evening trying to find somewhere to print the boarding pass and had absolutely no luck. Eventually, I just decided to go to the airport and figure it out there directly. And thankfully, the process ended up being much easier than I expected.
What Happened at Kutaisi Airport
Before arriving at the airport, I completed online check-in in the Wizz Air app. That part is important. You still need to check in online normally before your flight.
Once I arrived at the airport, I simply waited for the Wizz Air check-in desk to open. In my case, the counter opened about two hours before departure for my flight from Kutaisi to Prague.
As soon as the desk opened, I walked over, showed them my passport and the Wizz Air app, and the employee printed the boarding pass for me directly at the counter without any problem. The entire process took maybe one minute.
So Do You Need To Print Your Boarding Pass?
Based on my experience flying from Kutaisi Airport with Wizz Air, no, you do not need to panic about finding a printer beforehand.
The important part is:
- complete online check-in normally
- arrive at the airport early enough
- go directly to the Wizz Air check-in desk
- show your passport and app confirmation
The airport staff can print the boarding pass there.
One Important Thing
This was my personal experience flying from Kutaisi with only a small handbag and no checked luggage. Airport rules and airline procedures can always change, especially depending on destination, visa requirements, or the type of ticket you booked.
But if you’re currently sitting in Georgia stressed because you saw that “print boarding pass” warning in the Wizz Air app, there’s a very good chance everything will be completely fine at the airport.
