If you are dehydrated, your skin also can become dry because of the lack of hydration. Last but not least, the causes of dry skin can be traced to the natural aging process. As you age, your skin becomes drier because you lose the oils from your skin, which can be a result of your body’s natural aging process.

Honey Mask

Honey is a natural substance that has been used for centuries as a remedy for many ailments. Honey is also rich in vitamins, minerals, and enzymes which are important for healthy skin.

The honey mask is a great way to give your dry skin some much-needed hydration as it helps soothe and heal any inflammation or redness. The honey mask also moisturizes the skin while removing dead cells from its surface, leaving you with smooth, soft, and glowing skin.

Other key benefits of using honey on your skin:

  • Honey has antioxidant properties that help protect the skin from free radical damage.
  • Honey soothes irritated skin and reduces redness caused by inflammation or allergies.
  • Honey contains antibacterial properties, which can help prevent acne breakouts and keep your pores clean of dirt and oil.

How To Use Honey For Dry Skin

All you have to do is take a tablespoon of honey and apply it to the face, avoiding the eye area. Leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. Another option is to add a tablespoon of milk or olive oil to the honey.

I must not forget to add that honey is also great for dry, chapped lips, if not better than most lip balms! The process is the same as for the face application.

Avocado Mask

Avocados are great for dry skin. They are rich in magnesium, potassium, and vitamins A, C, and E, which can help to restore the skin’s natural moisture. They are also an excellent source of healthy fats, which are essential for healthy skin. These fats not only help maintain skin barrier function but also regulate sebum production and hydration, which is a great benefit for dry skin.

How To Use Avocado For Dry Skin

Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon and add it to your blender or food processor along with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth. Apply directly onto your face and neck, avoiding contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and any open wounds. Leave on for 20 minutes or until all of the liquid has been absorbed from the mask, then rinse off with warm water.

Yoghurt And Oatmeal Mask

The yogurt and oatmeal mask is a great way to nourish your skin. Natural (or plain) yogurt contains lactic acid that helps to exfoliate the skin, remove dead cells and promote healing. Oatmeal contains compounds such as saponins, beta-glucan, phytosterols, and avenanthramides, which are all great for moisturizing the skin.

How To Make Yogurt & Oatmeal Mask For Dry Skin

All you need is:

  • 1/2 cup of oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup of yogurt (unsweetened whole milk yogurt)

Mix the two ingredients together and apply the mixture to your face for 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm or cold water afterward. For best results, try applying this mask at least twice a week on the same days, such as every Wednesday and Sunday.
