Hollywood stars are incredibly rich and can afford anything, including that perfect Hollywood smile and the most perfect teeth. But Johnny Depp is different. You’re probably thinking, “If he’s worth over $100 million, why doesn’t he fix his teeth? That wouldn’t even cost 1% of his money.“
I mean, for sure, he could afford it if he wanted. It’s just weird that someone that famous and rich wouldn’t fix their teeth. I’ve got a few ideas about why Johnny Depp’s teeth look so bad.
Johnny’s Rotten Teeth
People were talking about how Johnny Depp’s teeth didn’t look so great at the last film festival in Cannes back in May 2023. Many of them started commenting and debating about it.
One person on a LipstickAlley forum said, “Oh man, I don’t even wanna think about what his breath smells like!” Another chimed in with, “He’s really committing to that pirate esthetic!“
If you look at the recent pictures, it does seem like Johnny Depp’s teeth are looking pretty rough. They appear yellow and maybe even a little cavity-ridden. So the question is, why doesn’t he get them fixed at the dentist? Is he scared of the dentist or just not that worried about flashing a perfect Hollywood smile?
He’s Got His Original Teeth
I saw online that one of Johnny Depp’s fans brought up something interesting about him. They said he apparently still has his original teeth. Now, that really got me thinking. If that’s true, he probably doesn’t want to mess with what his mom gave him. No crowns, implants or whitening for that man. And no, Johnny Depp does not have dentures as some sources claimed. He must want to keep his smile just as how nature made it or whatever his genes gave him.
You have to respect someone who doesn’t want to change their natural look. When you’re as big of a star as Johnny Depp, I don’t think you feel like you have anything to prove. But of course, if his teeth were really rotten like some online said, he’d definitely need to go to the dentist, no question about that.
Alcohol And Tobacco
We all know Johnny likes his drinks and smokes. He’s never tried to hide that he enjoys sipping on some wine or whiskey. And you’ll sometimes catch him with a cigar, too. It’s no secret that it’s taken a toll on his teeth over time.
I mean, you always see pictures of him with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other. While it looks pretty cool, it’s probably not the best for his dental health.
His teeth have been looking rough for a while now. They’re all stained and cracked, and some even look like they might be loose. I can’t say I’m surprised with all the years of red wine and cigarettes.
At this point, Johnny might want to think about seeing his dentist to get a cleaning and maybe some repairs. Whitening could also help improve how they look. But we all know Johnny is going to Johnny. Even if it means messing up those pearly whites, he’s staying true to his habits.
Stress or Depression
When someone is going through stress and depression, taking care of their teeth is usually the last thing on their mind. And I’m sure that’s been the case for Johnny. Not only is he dealing with the normal stresses of his career, but can you believe the court battle he went through with Amber Heard? That must have taken such a toll on him.
Stress can really do a number on your teeth if it’s not managed well over time. On one hand, it could explain why Johnny’s teeth look the way they do now. But on the other hand, for his teeth to get that bad, the stress would have had to build up over a really long period. You don’t usually see that kind of deterioration overnight.
He Just Doesn’t Care
I could totally see Captain Jack Sparrow being too busy having adventures on the high seas to worry about things like brushing his Jack Sparrow teeth.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course. We never really know what celebrities are like when the cameras aren’t rolling. I’m sure Johnny just wants to kick back, have some fun, and not stress all the small things.
As long as he’s doing well and feeling good, that’s all that counts. Who doesn’t take it easy sometimes and let dental hygiene slide every now and then? No need to judge Johnny for it.
