Calendula is a magical flower with a rich history of uses in cultures around the world. It has been used in many cultures for its medicinal properties and spiritual symbolism, and my grandmother would always say that it was impossible for her to envision a day without this magical plant.
Calendula is a healing plant that can be used to treat cuts and bruises, and its anti-inflammatory properties help with any skin irritation. The calming aroma of calendula can also help to soothe the mind and body. One of the most remarkable properties of calendula is its ability to draw out noxious substances and toxins from the body, which is why I make use of it so regularly.
For me, Calendula is much more than just a flower; it is a powerful aid that can cure the physical and emotional aspects of the human being, and it can help you to understand the unknown. These are three magical properties of calendula that you have probably never heard of.
Prophetic Dreams
It is believed that calendula has the ability to give you prophetic visions in your dreams, meaning you could see something that is destined to take place in the days to come.
Prophetic dreams are a type of dream that is believed to contain a prophecy or warning from a divine source. Prophetic dreams often contain symbols, images, and messages that can help you interpret the meaning behind them. These kinds of dreams can provide insight into the future and offer advice, warnings, and guidance on how to make the best decisions in life.
To achieve prophetic dreams, place a bunch of dried calendula under your pillow and leave it there for as long as possible.
Travel Protection
This ancient flower has been used for centuries to protect people while they travel, particularly in the areas of physical protection and spiritual protection. When it comes to physical protection, Calendula has been used as an herb to ward off illness and injury while traveling.
It’s believed that drinking calendula tea or carrying the flowers in a pouch can help keep travelers healthy. Calendula can also be used as an oil, salve, or tincture to treat any cuts, scrapes, burns, or insect bites that may be encountered on a trip.
The next time you go on a trip, make sure to bring some dried calendula along with you, either in your suitcase or in your pockets.
Seeing The Invisible
Calendula is thought to be able to help you see the invisible realm, allowing you to gain insights that you wouldn’t normally be able to access. These could be humans’ energy fields, souls of those who have passed away, or divine messengers, such as angels or ascended masters.
This is believed to be because the Calendula has an energy that is associated with the third eye chakra, which is said to be the “window of perception” for spiritual awareness and intuition.
To gain insight into the unknown, brew a cup of calendula tea and keep the dried herbs with you constantly. Whether you pray or practice meditation, include calendula in your spiritual practice. For instance, you can sprinkle dried calendula on your altar or keep some in your pockets.
Make Your Own Calendula Oil
Calendula oil is unique for treating cracked skin, scalds, strains, and frostbite. I use this oil on my hands almost every day, and since then, my hands have become smooth and unblemished.
Put a handful of calendula blooms in a container, submerge it in sunflower oil, and leave it somewhere warm for 2-3 weeks. Shake the contents every now and then. Strain the calendula flowers to leave only the oil.
