I just finished watching WWII in Color and, of course, my astrologer brain immediately went: “Wait… what does Hitler’s chart look like?” So I pulled it up. And honestly, the moment I saw it, it explained so much about why he was the way he was.
Birth Data
First Impressions: Libra Rising

Hitler had Libra rising. Libra is a sign tied to beauty, aesthetics, but also open enemies, and the relationships we form with those around us. He definitely cared about his image. He kept up appearances and had a certain refined taste. And according to many sources, he was artistic and even skilled at writing and painting.
Venus Retrograde and the Mars Conjunction
But here’s where things shift. His chart ruler, Venus, was in his 7th house in Taurus (a very comfortable placement in its home sign). But… it was retrograde. Instead of being the harmonious, loving Venusian type who wants to bring people together, this energy turned inward and twisted.
And then we get to his 7th house, the house of other people, open enemies, and relationships. Its ruler is Mars, and it forms an exact conjunction to his chart ruler, Venus. So we’re looking at Venus, the planet of “me” (ruling his Libra Ascendant), retrograde and bound tightly to Mars, the planet of “others.” Right away, this screams tension. Instead of harmony or balance, there’s conflict. This alone suggests he carried distorted, hostile, or even hateful views of people in general.
The Venus–Mars conjunction in Taurus is a powerhouse of energy. In a healthy chart, it can show passion, drive, and magnetism. But here, it twists into something darker: aggression, dominance, and raw force projected into his relationships, his dealings with others, and ultimately, his entire life purpose.
Leo Saturn in the 10th: Harsh Public Authority
Then there’s Saturn in Leo in the 10th house, square his Venus Rx + Mars conjunction. This screams someone harsh, someone willing to take power and hold it with an iron grip, publicly, visibly (10th house). It suggests that his career and public identity were tied to control, status, and even cruelty.
Moon–Jupiter in Capricorn: Cold Influence Over the Masses
He also had a Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn in the 3rd house. Capricorn Moons are not soft. They’re emotionally detached, sometimes suppressing feelings altogether. With Jupiter amplifying this, it created an exaggerated sense of coldness, ambition, and cruelty. And because it sat in the 3rd house, the house of communication, neighbors, learning, and immediate surroundings, it makes sense that he could rally millions of people, drawing them into his worldview through words, ideas, and constant messaging.
Chiron in Opposition: A Wound Around Homeland
This conjunction opposed Chiron in Cancer, pointing to a deep wound tied to his homeland, identity, or roots. His endless wars and nationalist obsession could be read as an attempt to both hide and overcompensate for that pain.
8H Pluto in Gemini: Unaspected Power of Words
One of the eeriest parts of his chart is his Pluto in Gemini in the 8th house, unaspected. Pluto here is about mass influence, control, and manipulation through communication. And when a planet is unaspected, it often acts in its purest, rawest form.
Mercury in Aries: Aggressive Daily Thinking and Speech
His Mercury in Aries in the 6th house, tightly opposing his Ascendant and sitting right on his Descendant, also stands out. Mercury in Aries is the signature of aggressive communication, fast, sharp, and often violent in tone. And if you’ve ever watched footage of him, you’ll know: he wasn’t simply speaking, he was shouting, spitting words like weapons.
Placed in the 6th house, this aggressive way of thinking and speaking became part of his daily routine, constant, relentless, almost obsessive. Sitting on the Descendant, it colored the way he related to others. This isn’t just “talking at people”; it’s commanding them, barking orders, forcing his will into the open.
And here’s a point often overlooked: the 7th house isn’t only about romantic partnerships… it’s about all one-on-one interactions, open enemies, and the people around us. So while this placement doesn’t necessarily mean he was domineering in private love relationships, it does show that in the public sphere, he approached others like a dictator: confrontational, forceful, and impossible to ignore.
Uranus Opposite Mercury: Occult Influences and Volatile Communication
Then comes Uranus in the 12th house opposing Mercury, another layer of erratic, volatile communication. But the 12th house is also linked to the unseen, mysticism, and hidden forces. Knowing that Hitler dabbled in occultism and surrounded himself with astrologers and mystics, this placement is almost too on the nose.
Neptune in the 8th: Propaganda and Mass Illusion
Neptune in the 8th house, also unaspected, adds yet another disturbing layer. Neptune here is illusion and deception tied to power, death, and transformation. In Gemini, again, this plays out through words, mass messaging, propaganda, and brainwashing.
Sun at 0° Taurus: Between Aries Fire and Taurus Control
Let’s not forget his Sun at 0° Taurus. Zero degrees is critical, and it often carries the dual energy of the previous sign. Here we see both Aries (raw aggression, warlike energy) and Taurus (desire for power, land, wealth). A “baby Taurus” still learning the lessons of values and stability, but channeled through the drive of Aries.
Uranus–Lilith Trine: Manipulation of the Collective
And finally, the exact Uranus–Lilith trine between his 8th and 12th houses. Lilith is the raw, shadowy feminine energy, while Uranus is shock, rebellion, and innovation. In this context, it looks like manipulation of the collective unconscious. Again, mass control, mass illusion.
Too Many Unaspected Planets: Raw, Unfiltered Energy
Stepping back, what really strikes me is that his chart is filled with unaspected planets, at least when you work with a tighter 5° orb, as I do. This suggests that much of his energy expressed itself in raw, unfiltered ways, not tempered or moderated by other planetary dialogues. In other words, we’re looking at pure, unchecked force.
I know some astrologers prefer to work with wider orbs (7° and even more), but personally, I don’t. To me, the energy of an aspect isn’t truly felt until the planets come within a closer range. For example, if transiting Neptune is 7° away from squaring your Sun, are you really feeling it yet? Most likely not. But once it closes in to 3° or less, that’s when the influence becomes palpable. That’s the approach I bring into chart reading, and it’s why I see Hitler’s chart as having so many raw, isolated placements operating at full intensity.
Why His Chart Explains His Legacy
When you step back and take in Hitler’s birth chart as a whole, the picture is painfully clear: a man consumed by hunger for power, obsessed with control, and driven by aggression. His words were weapons, his ideas a tool for mass manipulation. His imagination twisted toward domination and illusion, always circling back to power.
And unforgettable he became, though not in the way he might have hoped. No matter how much the world wishes to erase him, his legacy endures as the very embodiment of evil in the 20th century.
