Yesterday, on September 10, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at Utah University. Just a few hours before it happened, I saw one of his TikToks and had no idea what would unfold next.
In this article, I’d like to shed some light on his transit chart for the day and explore the possible astrological causes. Whether you liked him or not, let’s set politics aside and focus purely on astrology.
His natal chart

Charlie Kirk was born on October 14, 1993. He had the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mercury and Mars in Scorpio, and Lilith in Aries (which I always pay close attention to first). His exact Ascendant is unknown, but I strongly suspect it may have been early Sagittarius.
With both Sun and Moon in Libra, we might expect someone who advocates for others, who seeks fairness and justice. But not all Libras manifest this light side. In his case, he showed what I’d call a “dark Libra” expression—provocative, outspoken, going against the flow, and often stirring conflict.
His Mercury and Mars in Scorpio further underline intensity. This placement can give someone a probing mind, the ability to dig deep, to see hidden truths. But it can also lean toward being combative, provocative, and playing with fire—always adding fuel to the flame.
If he were indeed a Sagittarius rising, that would make Jupiter his chart ruler, placed near the cusp of the 11th house. This fits someone active in public life, speaking to crowds, taking on causes (whether for justice or injustice). Sagittarius rising would also point to religious or philosophical leanings and stubborn, outspoken beliefs—traits he certainly displayed.
His Lilith in Aries suggests a raw, confrontational energy. At best, this can fuel courage and independence, but at worst, it manifests as aggression, self-righteousness, and projecting inner conflict outward. If his Moon was around 8–10° Libra, it would have made an exact opposition to Lilith in Aries—an inner tug-of-war between seeking balance (Libra) and fighting for dominance (Aries).
As for his nodes, his North Node was in Sagittarius and his South Node in Gemini. With the North Node in Sagittarius, his soul’s mission in this lifetime was to seek a higher philosophy or faith and devote himself to it. This placement often points to someone who could become a spiritual guide, a teacher, or even a pastor—someone who inspires others and helps them find meaning. But with the South Node in Gemini, the tendency is to get lost in endless chatter, debates, and provocative speech that stirs controversy without offering real direction or wisdom.
For the record, I was not very familiar with him. I remember seeing him once during the Trump campaign, but otherwise I didn’t follow his work closely.
His transit chart

If Charlie Kirk truly was Sagittarius rising—as I suspect, considering his height, religious nature, and philosophical streak—then his chart ruler, Jupiter, was in his 8th house at the time. Jupiter in the 8th doesn’t automatically indicate death, but when the Ascendant is “attacked” by other transits, the symbolism can manifest very literally.
Transit Uranus was opposing his Ascendant, retrograding back from his South Node and separating from his North Node. Uranus brings shocks and sudden disruptions, and in this case, it symbolized the sudden and violent nature of the event.
Transit Mars was in Libra, having just passed over his Sun and moving toward his Jupiter (potential chart ruler). Both Mars-Sun and Mars-Jupiter conjunctions can be aggressive, confrontational, and volatile—especially in the 10th house, which rules public image and career.
But the heavier influences were Saturn and Neptune. Saturn was retrograding at 29° Pisces while Neptune was newly in Aries at 1°. Together, they opposed his Virgo Venus and Midheaven. This combination often signals collapse, loss of reputation, and a sudden end to things once valued. Virgo connects to health and communication (ruled by Mercury), so this aspect speaks both to an end of his public career and to physical vulnerability.
Even without a confirmed Sagittarius Ascendant, this Saturn-Neptune opposition stands out. Saturn’s opposition can signify an end or downfall, while Neptune in Aries may have symbolized dissolution of the physical body itself. The Virgo-Aries axis directly ties to health—the head and body (Aries) versus overall well-being (Virgo).
And finally, if he was Sagittarius rising, transit Jupiter in the 8th house was conjunct his Vertex and opposing Uranus—a powerful setup for sudden, fated endings.
Closing thoughts
Astrology doesn’t excuse or condemn anyone—it simply reflects the cycles and energies at play. Charlie Kirk’s chart on that day showed heavy transits of shock, endings, and collapse. Whether one supported him or not, this was a dramatic astrological moment.
I hope that, in whatever way possible, Charlie and his family find peace.
