With Saturn finishing its stay in Pisces, I experienced transit Saturn square my Sun in the most literal way possible. I am very freshly out of it, and here is how it unfolded.
My 2025 Transit
In April 2025, transit Saturn in Pisces in my 1st house formed the first square to my natal Sun in Gemini in the 4th house. During that time, I felt incredibly tired. As someone who usually needed two to three hours to fall asleep, I suddenly went to bed and slept without any trouble.
The first April hit brought tiredness, sometimes fatigue, and an overall feeling of being twice my age. I spent a lot of time working around my home, which fits the 4th house Gemini Sun perfectly. Saturn pushed me to work hard, so the exhaustion made sense.
The Retrograde Phase
In late September 2025, Saturn was retrograding back from Aries to Pisces. When it moved into Aries earlier that year, I felt a huge relief, full of energy and life. But in September, everything shifted again. I felt pressure. To work more. To do more. To sleep less so I could accomplish more. Whenever I had free time, I went out to the fields with my metal detector, which is one of my biggest passions.
A few days later, the tiredness returned, but this time it felt different. I felt like a squeezed lemon. Saturn was pulling out the last drops of my energy. Eventually, I reached a point where I would fall asleep while sitting or even standing. And I say this as someone who suffered from insomnia for decades.

Soon after, a small rash appeared on my knee. I had a similar one on my other leg years ago that turned out to be mycosis, so that seemed possible. I had been outside on wet ground, kneeling and digging. But over time, a large circle started forming around the rash. At that point, I no longer felt like a squeezed lemon but like a dried one.
Luckily, transit Mars in the 9th house formed an exact square to my natal Virgo Mars in the 6th house, and I decided to visit a dermatologist instead of waiting. Mars pushed me to act, and there I received the diagnosis: Lyme disease. I had to slow down and take antibiotics. I felt depressed and hopeless.
This was another moment when I realized that if you go through a triple transit (direct hit, retrograde, and direct again), the retrograde is usually the hardest one.
The Final Hit
When Saturn went direct again and formed the last square, I felt a faint sense of relief. Not happiness, not energy, but a small internal release that is difficult to describe.
Looking back, I still shake my head at how literal this transit was. Saturn was in Pisces in my 1st house, the house of the physical body, forming a square to my Sun in the 4th house at the IC, which represents the home and the ground beneath your feet. I got the infection while digging in the fields with a metal detector.
The rash appeared next to my knee, a Saturn-ruled body part. Before the diagnosis, I felt depressed and overstimulated, which fits Gemini’s connection to nerves. My lymph nodes were swollen in my armpits, again connected to Gemini.
What This Transit Taught Me
Transit Saturn square Sun taught me to slow down and pay attention to my body. The Sun represents vitality, and a square to it often shows up through health challenges. Not always, but often enough to be a recognizable pattern.
Sometimes I asked myself why this illness and not another type of lesson. Why so much pain and suffering. Eventually, I realized that Lyme disease was probably the only thing that would actually force me to stop. I am not the kind of person who lies in bed even with fever or flu. I prefer to sit and work on my laptop or around the house. But this disease put me in bed. My head felt like it would burst during the first two days of antibiotics, my joints hurt for a week, and my mood was… let’s just say low.
A Lesson For You
Transit Saturn square Sun can show up through health issues in many cases. I had a friend who developed a finger infection and had to stay home. A cousin whose son was bitten by a bat and she had to stay with him at home. The health theme repeats itself again and again and again. And it makes sense, because the Sun is our vitality.
If you are going through this transit, listen to your body. If you feel the need to slow down, do that. If you need a break, take it. If you need a vacation to clear your mind, go, but stay mindful.
This transit behaves differently depending on the houses and signs involved, but Saturn and the Sun do not blend easily. They are not astrological friends. Saturn’s lesson here is to take responsibility for your wellbeing, pay attention to warning signs, and treat your health seriously.
Yes, sometimes it might be the health of your father, parent, or grandparents, not necessarily yours, but this transit will still affect you in some way. Taking care of yourself is a must during this time.
