Hundreds of people believe in negative and positive energy, significantly when it can affect the overall vibes in their homes. Do you believe in Feng Shui? If so, you’re not going to want to miss out on the different ways you can go about building and creating positive energy in your home.

Trust us, living in a home with negative energy will impact not only you but everyone that enters your home. Let’s keep the good vibes rolling by making our homes as relaxing as possible. After all, your home should be a place where you go to relax.

1. Consider the Flow of the Home

Before you move into a home, you need to consider the flow of the area carefully. If you want to avoid dealing with bad Feng Shui, you might even go a step further and hire a custom home builder in Edmonton. The flow or layout of rooms within your home can impact the overall feel of the space.

If you’re not able to build your home or didn’t consider the rooms within the home before moving in, you can rearrange your furniture. When furniture isn’t arranged properly, it leads to something known as “blocked traffic.”

When positive flow is blocked by traffic, it can block chi, which leads to an increase in bad energy. For example, for smoother traffic throughout a room, contemplate inputting objects that have smoother edges rather than sharp or jagged ones.

It might also be beneficial to consider how you move throughout a room. What changes can be made to make things smoother for everyone? When you’ve answered this question, you can move forward with increasing the home’s positive energy.

2. Go Plant Shopping

Did you know that having plants in and around your home can help to increase its overall Feng Shui? Plants serve as a representation and tangible connection to nature, which can help keep things within your home fresh, and plants can provide energy that you didn’t know you were receiving.

Before you load your home with plants, you need to do some research. You’ll want to select plants that thrive without a ton of light and are low maintenance if you don’t spend a lot of time at home.

Much like the furniture you have in your home, you should select plants that don’t have spiked or pointy leaves. When you select spiky plants with rounded edges, it can cause you to be more on edge without you realizing what’s happening.

Rounded edges are soft and can help to promote a calmer atmosphere. Not only do plants aid in the Feng Shui of your home, but they can also improve the air quality in the home. This is important, especially if your family members have allergies due to poor air quality.

If you want to feel more positive and be able to breathe better, plants in the home are a great way to increase Feng Shui.

3. Create Color Balance

Feng Shui is about more than just furniture and how the home feels. It’s also about the colors you use in and around the home to decorate, which means if you’re focused on positive Feng Shui, you need to utilize the right colors.

The hues of different colors can uplift rooms, but they can also be used to ground a room, which leads to the proper balance of each room of your home. If you want to promote a calmer atmosphere, select muted colors, such as neutral or earthy tones.

However, if you want to increase the energy levels of certain rooms, you’re going to want to select colors that are brighter in hue. The colors you want to avoid are darker colors, but if you must have them, these colors need to be closer to the floor, which means placing them on the baseboard.

As you move up the wall, the colors should get lighter to balance the room.

4. Do Away With Clutter

Clutter can increase anxiety, which will quickly make your home feel like anything other than a safe haven. If you want to improve the Feng Shui of the home, you need to consider removing clutter from the home.

Removing the clutter from your home can help to improve the home’s overall feel and energy. The last thing you want to do is feel depressed or as if your home is a prison. When decluttering the home, do away with things you’ve not used in years.

If you don’t want to throw away items, you could decide to donate things you no longer have a use for.

There are several ways to increase Feng Shui in your home. You can do things by getting rid of clutter and buying plants that can help improve the home’s energy and vibes.
